Advertise Loopback in OSPF

Hello everybody,

Would it be acceptable to advertise a Loopback interface in OSPF in an
area that the router has no physical interface connection.

Imagine the following scenario:

area_1 --- R1 --- area_0 --- R2 --- area_2 --- R3 --- area_3

So, if for some reason, I want to advertise R3's Loopback 0 interface to
area 1, would this be acceptable, or theoretically correct.
R3 has its interfaces connected to area 2 and area 3 (and the
virtual-link of course between R2 and R3). So, it has nothing to do with
area 1.
I guess that we will not see this in real life, but would it be
acceptable for the lab?

TIA

Varthis
