I have used the recommendation of the Brians for using the workbook. At
least - here is how I interpreted their advice.
FORGET TRYING TO FINISH THE LAB IN THE RACK RENTAL TIME - at least at first.
There is no way you are going to make it. Instead - what I do is stop and do
a lot of studying if I am stuck on a task. Also - I fully research the
feature when I come across it. This might include "extra" verification
commands - and maybe even a reconfiguration to make sure I understand how
the feature works.
How I handle the rack rental is just to save my configs at the end so I can
pick up where I left off when I rent the next rack. I like Rack Time Rentals
because I can ensure that I get the same rack and that I do not need to
change rack numbers in the config.
So here is a concrete example....
I have a task that asks me to keep track of access lists violations that
have occurred. I realize this is IP Accounting - but I cannot remember the
correct commands. So I practice finding the correct commands in the doc cd.
Then I type them in. Then I practice all the verifications possible - THEN I
MIGHT PRINT THAT SECTION OF THE DOCS. I will either read it then - or read
it later. But the bottom line is - this is my chance to fully research a
technology that is a hot button for the exam. Finally, I read the
InternetworkExpert solution guide for the feature and check the Support
Forum if there is anything I still do no understand.
I hope this helps give you ideas for getting the most out of your workbook.
