Hi Duane
One of the key diffrence as far as Lab is concerned is the vlaues u have to
substite
for Bc & Be
In rate limit Bc is refered to as normal burst & Be is refered to as max
burst
So mathamaticlay
max burst = Bc+Be
normal burst=Bc
This is because Rate-limit uses only a single token bucket.
But MQC police, Bc is normal burst(no diffrence ) but Be=execess burst.
(this diffrent from rate-limit)
May, be Chris or Simon Hart will explain this very well with refernce to
algorithms used in the IOS coding
HTH
Cheers
Imal
