CAR using MQC??

Hi,

I am a litle confused about the differece and when i have to use the police
bits per second, police cir or shape statements under policy-map/ class
configuration.

My confussion is because i have seen some examples that request to limit the
ICMP traffic to 2 MS for example and sometimes, the solution use the:

policy-map ICMP
class ICMP

police "bits per second"
police cir
or
shape commands.

Can somebody help me with this confusion please?
