Daniel,
My hat goes off to you.
I've been on a crusade to convince newly minted ccie who are members of
Group Study to show their gratitude to Paul ever since I passed the lab.
I know a few people who have done this but I suspect most of the new ccie's
may have not thought of doing this or have overlooked this.
Personally, I think of Paul as one of the great unsung hero's of networking
for creating and managing Group Study.
I know that if it weren't for Group Study and all I've learned and continue
to learn from the generous and brilliant people here, I still might not have
my ccie.
I haven't keep track but I think I've read about a dozen or two people
passing the lab in the past couple of weeks.
And, each one of them deserves a hardy congratulation for their
accomplishment. As everyone who's done this knows, becoming a ccie is no
walk in the park.
But, can you imagine how much more difficult it would be if we didn't have
the benefit of the knowledge and generosity of Scott Morris, Brian Dennis,
Brian McGahan, Bruce Caslow, Simon Hart, Chris Lewis, Dennis Hartman, and on
and on and on?
Each one of these guys have greatly contributed to our collective knowledge
and for that I am indebted as I'm sure most of the GS is as well. But, if
weren't for Paul, none of us would have the opportunity to share in the
wisdom and experience of all those who generously give there time and share
their knowledge with us.
So, Daniel, Thank you for joining me in making the idea of a small
contribution to Paul upon passing the lab a Tradition and Right of Passage.
Tim

Hi *,
While we are still in the "thank Scott, Brian et. al" mood...
"Respect" is the magic word - and "gratitude" too.
We must show respect to these guys because they have
achieved what we are yet to attain - and more!
Besides, all these folks are here answering our
questions FOC (free of charge)!
I will also use this chance to pay homage to Paul Borghese.
I have a special weakness for people who do alot of good but
get little or less from it...
If anyone feels moved, esp. after their (successful) exams and
will want to donate to Paul, who is actually running the
Groupstudy forum (but never makes noise about it), here is
what you can do:
Goto PayPal and credit money to Paul using his email address -
pborghese@groupstudy.com
On Behalf of members at Groupstudy. Thank you all for
making this forum a great place for everyone.
Kindly keep it that way.

Just expressing my appreciation, that's all folks. This also applies to all
the other well known gurus out there... Brian Dennis, Brian McGahan, Bruce
Caslow.... and the lesser known ones...well you know yourselves...And of
course, to Paul Borghese - the visionary founder of groupstudy.
These guys spend their time helping others, its only proper to show
appreciation. You do not need to wait to get your number before saying thank
you...it should be unconditional.
