3750 with default sdm template supports 6K unicast arp entries - I need
to bump it up to 12K by applying sdm prefer vlan profile and continue to
use static routing for 200 subnets and one static default to the ISP.
Routing is done between 2 GB uplink interfaces. There are 10K hosts
behind this switch - all on the same vlan and there are multiple ip
ranges spread all over this single VLAN (completely idiotic, but it is
what it is). Typical traffic to the ISP is 200Mbps - will 3750 handle
this load when running in sdm prefer vlan mode?
This will be a backup standby solution for the Checkpoint Firewall (in
case firewall fails connectivity will be restored by plugging in this
switch).
Thanks,
Andrew
