Jim,
        Here is a reply to a question regarding the IOS versions for Jan
2006 from a proctor on Cisco's "Ask the expert - CCIE Routing and
Switching Forum":

<Quote>
When we change IOS we first want to make sure that basic and most common
features will be ok running our exams. Only after that we start testing
new features from the new code.

As per the IOS code changes starting January 2006 I will say that you
can expect new features to start being tested after middle 2006. But it
is also goes gradually as always.

Subject: 12.3 on 2610's?

Using the Software Advisor, it appears the latest IOS for the 2610 is
only 12.2T.....is this correct? Can I run 12.3 mainline on a 2610 (to
support the changes to the exam come Jan.1)? Thx.

Jim
