Hi,
I have 2 routers running HSRP.
R1 is active
R2 is standby
Normally both router will be propagating to the
outside world about
their Lan network with R1 having the better metric,
thus the selected path
In the event of a Lan/Wan failure on R1:
On Wan: the preferred path is now via R2
On Lan: HSRP kicks in, R2 now is active
Question:
In normal circumstances, if the routing happen to
messed up, R2 ended
up to be the preferred path, packets coming in will
get dropped?
incoming traffic will be affected?
appreciate any comments and advice
Thanks
