For LSA 1&2 only : distribute-list route-map can be used. but the problem
is with outbound filtering

It is very important to distinguish between route filtering and LSA
filtering in OSPF.
For all type of LSA : use ospf database-filter all out and neighbor
ip-address database-filter all out for LSA
filtering
use distribute-list route-map (introduced in
12.2(15)T) and
"distribute list in" on all other ospf routers to
prevent routes from being in RIB
N.B : "distribute-list out" is valid only for externel
routes, only and only generated by the
router doing filtering. This is an LSA filtering.
For LSA 3-4-5 : for many cases, the not-advertise keyword with area
range or summary-address commands can
help. Also, you can use area filter-list prefix
For LSA 1&2 only : I don't no how to do it! I will check for new
features.

Which part? The distribute list can be done on any router since it only has
a local effect. The area filter-list, you're correct, must be done on an
ABR since it filters things going into or out of an area itself.

it filters between the database and the routing table (see rule above).
You can do an area filter-list if you want, that filters a route from
entering (or leaving) an entire area. That's more specific than using a
stub type area, but still doesn't violate the above rule.

cant use distribute list or route maps to filter ospf routes ,So does it
mean that ospf isnt flexible as compared to eigrp or BGP ??
