Amir,

The virtual template always should be down by design. It is assumed by one
of the virtual-access interfaces.
Providing your frame is ok you should be able to ping from one to the other.

i am having a wiered problem.

i have 2 routers with frame-relay connection between
them.

ON R1
interface Serial0/1
 no ip address
 encapsulation frame-relay
 clockrate 500000
 frame-relay interface-dlci 101 ppp Virtual-Template1
 no frame-relay inverse-arp
end

On R2

interface Serial3/1
 no ip address
 encapsulation frame-relay
 serial restart-delay 0
 no fair-queue
 frame-relay interface-dlci 215 ppp Virtual-Template2

NOw,

I have the VIRTUAL ACCESS is UP

and the VIRTUAL-TEMPLATE bot of the oruters is
DOWN/DOWN

but it is working

HOW?

Does the Virtual-Template suppose to BE DOWN/DOWN??
