Yes, that seems to fail in my lab as well :-(
I wonder what happens if we try to redist 0.0.0.0/1 from other routing protocol?
Cannot test it at the moment, someone fancy playing with it for a bit?

Tried but only 128.0.0.0/1 is propagated. This goes back to my original
question: OSPF seems does not redistribute a static route that starts with a

Both of them (0.0.0.0/1 and 128.0.0.0/1) taken together form a "composite
default" if You look into prefix/mask combination more closely.

This is not possible. 0.0.0.0 128.0.0.0 is not even a default route.
