Thanks, James....now you really have me thinking....hmmmmm.....how would
it be possible to add an interface (or loopback) into ospf, outside of
ospf? I was thinking about using a route-map, but this still must be
redistributed. And, the distribution-list will not work in this case.
I also tried a summary address. After going through the doc CD on
redistribution methods, I am out of ideas. Are we sure that this is
not broken?

I am working with an NMC lab that requires to add a loopback into
ospf.....the lab states, "advertise the loopback address in OSPF from R3
without adding it in any ara and without redistribution connected
prefixes. It should appears in the routing tables of the other
routers". If we don't use the area command, and can't use the
redistributed connected....then what other options exist? I can't seem
to locate any other options on this. Is this an error (or
mis-interpretation)? Anyone have a hint?
