Isn't it we have to write under *R2* configuration :
interface serial 0/0 multipoint -----Add multipoint keyword
The reason for that because it is similar to RTA (s0.1) in this link :
Second question
Right now we have configured R1 and R3 as point-to-point. and there is
no subinterfaces on R2. (This is what it has been written)
If we create two subinterfaces (in the lab we have nothing) on R2
(0/0.25 and 0/0.30), still we have to configure R3, and R1 as
point-to-point ? if the answer is yes, what is the differences between
two cases
