Hi Ray,
Before deleting the vlan.dat file, try viewing the config first. You can do
this by:
Switch1# vlan database
Switch1(vlan)# show current
This will show you the vlan configuration that you would not see by using
the show run command. If its empty, then there is no need to delete the
file and reboot, thus saving you some precious time.
