You should not have any problems with this setup. I frequently use my frame
switch as a router as well

I have a 4500 router with 8 serial interface,
and I am using it as a frame-switch.
Now I am thinking to use it as a frame-switch and
a router, Is that possible to connect s0 to s1, and I will
use s0 ,e0 as a router, and s1--s7 still as frame switch.
basicly I m connecting a serial back to another serial in same router,
any one know if this is possible?
