Header compression would relate to the layer 3 header. FRF.12 (or is it
11?) payload compression also won't touch the layer 2 header.

Subject: Header Compression over Frame-Relay
Since the DLCI is in the layer-2 header, I was wondering how the service
provider would know how to switch your data through their network if you
are using header compression. Is this something to workout with the SP,
or do you have to configure a tunnel (I hope not)?
Thanks
Vince
