Depends on what you are trying to do. Are you trying to configure traps
such that the router sends your SNMP server info when certain events happen
or are you trying to configure the router to respond to SNMP queries from a
network manager such as HPOV?

Hi Friends,

How do I configure snmp. Do we have to configure snmp-server enable traps
or is optional. Please assist in the configuration. Which method is correct
configuation, method1 or method2.

method1:
snmp-server host 1.1.1.100 traps CISCO
snmp-server enable traps

method2:
snmp-server host 1.1.1.100 traps CISCO
