The mock labs and Checkit labs are pretty good indicators of how you'll do
on the actual lab but not perfect indicators.
Assuming your technical knowledge and skills are sufficient to pass the lab,
it's still very easy to fail the lab due to task mis-interpretation and/or
insufficient mental organization.
A while back, I wrote a detailed post on these issues and what you can do to
overcome these obstacles. Check the archives for a post with the subject,
"Top reasons people who should pass, don't". I think this post was sometime
in September.
Now, getting back to the mock and Checkit labs, I think the IE mock labs do
an excellent job of indicating your technical skills while the Checkit labs
are more challenging from a task interpretation point of view.
If you can, I would recommend that you use both resources - the IE Mock labs
and the NMC Checkit labs.
I would also recommend that you practice and hone your skills by using both
workbooks. You might also want to consider the IPExpert lab workbook. When
I used the IPExpert workbook several years ago, it wasn't that good but now
I suspect it is probably as good as the others - maybe better - I couldn't
say. However, Scott Morris has been with IPExpert for a while now and
undoubtedly, the quality of their workbook is much, much better.

Subject: Check-IT and Mock Labs - outcome realistic?
Just wondering for those who have taken any mock labs and the real CCIE lab
if their results were similar? In other words if you pass these mock labs is
it a realistic indication of whether or not you will pass the real CCIE lab?
