To my ccie2b's and ccie's...This is not a ccie lab prep question
please...
Setup is active & standby pix - each connecting to (EMI-running L3)
3750's on vlan 10. Vlan 10 is on portchannel-L2 between 3750's using 2
intfs. HSRP on 1st 3750 is made Active-higher priority-to active pix. I
am looking ways to track a layer2 portchannel's status and bring down the
gig0/1-that is connecting to active pix-OR-force the hsrp to standby on
1st 3750. Portchannel interface (2 intfs) is the only way for HSRP to
communicate. If this Portchannel fails, I have the issue that the standby
hsrp - will become active and - of course the active hsrp remains active.
Active PIX will send data out through 1st 3750. The return traffic may
land on 2nd 3750 and will never make it. L3 on 3750's and of course
routers connected to 3750's going to multiple clients.
Hope I have explained the setup and situation properly. Suggestions pls.
Thanks,
Ramesh.
P.S. - Not ready to goto pix7.0 now :-(
