On the NPE itself, it should be physically marked. Typically (you may check
the product docs/hardware sheets as it's been a while since I've played with
a 4500), the numbering is:

3 2
1 0

HTH,

Scott

PS. Yup, I'm right. :)

Subject: regarding Cisco 4500-M router serial layout

I got a 4500M router with 8 serial on it, those 8 serials are on 2 module
(each has 4 DB-60 serial).

I wondering if there is a way to tell which serial is S0,s1 and so on.

Please don't tell me to attach a cable and show int.
Is there any other way without trying?

Thanks a lot
