I am also trying attempt number 4 soon - and I wanted to pass along a tip
that I think is going to help my chances dramatically.
I am now on Round 2 of doing certain practice labs....and I have decided to
make them even harder! Really pushing myself to ensure I know a certain
technology.
As a simple example - lets say in your practice lab you have to configure
OSPF Area 0 somewhere....(oh my - what a shock!)....and your particular
practice lab does not feature any OSPF summarization, nor does it feature
OSPF authentication.....well - I add those tasks to the lab!
I find it great practice and a real confidence boost to finish these
practice labs in the time allotted - ESPECIALLY considering I made it even
harder to complete.
Also - in this second round - for once and for all - I am taking the advice
of guys like Brian, Brian, and Scott-----I never just want to be typing in
the commands without a FULL AWARENESS of the feature - AND - other options
that are available.
Here is an example of this point - lets say I have a task that points me in
the direction of using Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding. To achieve full
points for the task IN THE PRACTICE LAB - I just need to enter *ip cef* and
*ip verify unicast reverse-path * in the appropriate modes. I probably have
these commands memorized - so I might fly through these points in the
practice lab. BUT - - - -do I fully understand what these commands are doing
- and why they are needed. And what about the access-list that can be
attached to this command? What in the world would that access-list be used
for? Time for me to thoroughly study this feature - and once and for all -
scratch it off my TO STUDY list. Also - in the exam - I hope I get to show
off when it comes to my knowledge of this feature.....
Sorry for the long post....I pray this helps someone.....
