Question about ip wccp

Hi Group,

I get confusion how should use "in" or "out" key word in ip wccp

ip wccp web-cache redirect out
ip wccp web-cache redirect in

For example, if the cache engine on the same subnet of client subnet,
where shoul I put "ip wccp" command, which keyword "in" or "out"
should be used ?

1)
client&cache_engine ----(e0)Router(s0)---- web-server

2)
client ----(e0)Router(s0)---- web-server
                       |
               cache_engine
3)
client ----(e0)Router(s0)------------------------ web-server
                                         |
                      cache_engine (outside the rouer)
