Subsequent to my previous mail, I realise my mistake regarding Snapshot as
it can work over other types of links

Hi
Question 1
Does it need to go to forward state after initialisation or after
reconvergence
If it is after initialisation then Max Age does not come into it, therefore
forward-time = 7 or 8
If it is after reconvergence then your initial answer would be correct.
Question 2
What should R2 do?? Should it send updates to R1, if yes then ip rip
triggered on the interface of R1 will fulfill the requirement.
What type of link is it between R1 and R2? Anything other than ISDN will
not support snapshot routing.

1. Tunning the STP timers. Remember to do it on the STP root and backup
root of the VLAN
2. Ip rip triggered at interface level
