I believe Brian discussed this issue last week.

Yes, ATM SVC with CLIP support broadcast. If you think about it, that's
what you are setting up CLIP for with the ARP server because ATM
natively does not support broadcasts (e.g. NBMA network).

And, you are setting up the broadcast capability with the "atm
arp-server" command set. I believe you can also setup backup ARP
servers in case the first one fails. Just issue another ARP-server
command and they are chosen in the list in FIFO order.

Andy

Subject: ATM Classical IP SVC

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the atm SVC using classical IP ARP server supports
broadcast by default or not ? Can we control this broadcast capability
like a pvc or a svc that is set up and mapped manually ?

Thanks in advance
Duong
