Hello there,

It all depends on what stage of your preparation you are...

For early stages, I like the "All-In-One Cisco CCIE Lab Study Guide"

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0071351086

I also like

Cisco TCP/IP Routing Professional Reference -
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0072125578
Advanced IP Routing in Cisco Networks -
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0072125918

The "ccie warm up - advice and learning labs" - by Tom Larus is good as
a next step.

http://www.ipexpert.net/products_services/product.asp?sku=ip7777

These books will help you in the early stages.

Then pick a lab workbook vendor, and go for it. Or better yet, try two
(or even all three)

This goes without saying, but always try your best to resolve the labs
by your own means before looking at the answers. When you are working
thru the labs, use the doc cd (the documentation that will be available
to you on the exam) - http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm

These seem to be the most popular today (in no particular order):
netmaster class, ipexpert, internetwork experts

http://www.netmasterclass.net/site/home.php
http://www.ipexpert.net/
http://www.internetworkexpert.com/

Before attempting the exam, It could be a good idea to try a couple of
the simulated lab exams, those are 8 hours labs, with a score report,
and some advice. I believe all the aforementioned vendors offer some
sort of simulated lab exam.

One of the problems with self learning is that if you are doing
something wrong, without any feedback, you may not even notice it... So
a class could be a good way to prepare, just make sure you meet the
requirements for it, otherwise, you will be wasting time and money.

Just my two cents,

Diego
