OT: Remote rebooting

Hi Guys,

I am currently interviewing with a firm and I was given some "homework" to
research. Here is the situation: you are configuring a router in a remote
office and you make a mistake which inadvertently disconnects you from the
router. Perhaps you configured an access list wrong or typed in the wrong IP
address. You need to do a reboot of the router to reset the config, but
there is no backup modem or person on-site to do the reboot for you, and you
do not want to travel to the site to do it yourself. What can you put into
place before starting the config that will allow you to do a remote reboot
if you run into this situation?

I have a lot of experience prepping for the lab exam, but my production
environment experience is limited. I was hoping to hear what people on
groupstudy do. My first thought would be to use SNMP. Any other thoughts?

 Thanks,

Mike
