Guys:

I think this is just GREAT!!

Sharing such a valuable information to guys like us preparing for the CCIE
Lab really helps us.

Thank you so much.

I too am now working on adding to this. Let's all add one tip a day - it
will be of great help a day or two before the exam.

I am thinking of things like:

1. IGP's across ISDN
2. Redistribution b/w Ospf>Rip, Ospf>Eigrp, Ospf>Isis and vice versa and so
on
etc. etc.

Sincerely.

the configuration of how to sending unicast packets in RIP by
>NAT

it.
> >Thanks !
> >
> >
> >Ryan
>

<cvictor@protokolgroup.com>:
> >
> >
>
>>Add This One:
> >>You Can use RIP V2 to send unicast
packets using the neighbor command
> >>and if this is not
permitted we can also use a Static PAT to the
> >>Outside,
translating the multicast address to the remote neighbor.
>

>>>?
> >>>Okay, I haven't seen any recent posts on
these, and I haven't been able
>to find anything resembling this in
the archives.
> >>>
> >>>So, I've started
creating a list of popular tasks that I have found that
>have multiple
ways of accomplishing the same goal. This list is far, far
>from
complete, which is why I'd like to start some dialogue on the
other
>topics that fit this mold. (My first attempt included several
questions on
>using a 3rd way, which at the time, I, of course, only
knew two of.)
> >>>
> >>>So, to begin:
>
>>>
> >>>
> >>>
>
>>>ISDN Backup - 3 Ways (Floating Static, Backup Interface, and
Dialer
>Watch)
> >>>
> >>>Advertising
Loopbacks with Masks in OSPF - 3 Ways (ip ospf network,
>redistribute,
and summarization at an ABR)
> >>>
>
>>>Troubleshooting Neighbor Relationships for OSPF over NMBA - 2
Ways (ip
>ospf network, hello timer)
> >>>
>
>>>Advertising Connected Networks in IS-IS - 3 Ways (ip router
isis, Passive
>Interface, Redistribute Connected)
>
>>>
> >>>Assigning RP in Multicast - 3 Ways (Static,
Auto-RP, BSR Candidates)
> >>>
> >>>Limiting
bandwidth in QoS for a specific host - 3 Ways, at
least.
>(Rate-Limiting, Policing, Shaping)
>
>>>
> >>>
> >>>
>
>>>That's the list I've come up with so far, please add to it,
dispute it.
>As, knowing how many ways of doing something seems to be
very helpful when
>trying to figure out how much you need to know
about a topic.
> >>>
> >>>Thanks,
>
