From what I recall the difference is the following:
Ip igmp access-group restricts the groups that may join on a specific
interface
While ip multicast boundary, restricts the packets in or out that
interface going to the specific group.
That being said, filtering the join group does not necesarilly means
that traffic is filtered. But filterirn through ip multicast boundary
does.
So I guess ip multicast boundary is more like the ip access-group
command and the igmp access-group command is to filter the join
messages.
