Assign loopback interface into OSPF

Hi group,
1. I'm reading the ciscopress ccie lab study, most of the labs require freestyle loopback interface assignment into ospf. Some routers have loopback into area 0 or into area that LAN interface belongs to. Hoever some loopback interfaces are assigned to local LAN area eventhough this router has area 0 configure. Can someone give me a recommdation or best practice about what area loopback interface should be in when the loopback interface is on ABR router?

2. What options do I have besides "ip ospf network, redistribution, and area x summary-address" if I want to advertise the loopback into OSPF as /24 instead or /32.

3. Also, if "area x summary-address" is configured but only for loopback addresses in this area, should all other physical ip addresses in this area still advertise out as normal subnet routes from this area?

Thanks all,

Dustin
