Question on ISDN Legacy DDR

Friends,

I have the following question:

Imagine a couple of routers, who call ONLY each other. And the
configuration is mandated to be Legacy DDR.

I've tried it with dialer string and it works fine, but in the answer
key of the InternetworkExpert book they use dialer-map (being very
categorical about this) is it there something that I'm missing?
