It should go under the subinterface. Remember that the physical
interface will go down when it stops receiving LMI from the switch. The
subinterface will go down when the DLCI status changes.

Subject: Backup interface command under frame relay subinterface?

Hello,

R1#sh run int s 0/0

      no ip addr

      encap frame-relay

      no frame-relay inv

R1#sh run int s 0/0.1 multipoint

      ip addr 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

      frame-relay map ip 10.1.1.2 102 broad

      frame-relay map ip 10.1.1.3 103 broad

      no frame-relay inv

========================

 If I need to apply "backup interface bri 0/0" command for isdn
backup,

 which one is better place? int s 0/0 ?   or  int s
0/0.1

Thank you in advance.
