All:

In reading the DocCD for WCCP on 3550, it is stated
"Make a direct Layer 2 connection from the cache engines to the switch
so that the switch can perform Layer 2 rewrites for WCCP redirection"

Then later in the examples, they configure a Layer 3 routed port
to connect to the cache engine.

Can anyone clarify this, as it seems contradictory and I do not
have a cache engine to test this out?
