Just a couple of Qs here on the ffg. two new 12.2T feature and some clarification on their differences:
IOS 12.2 (13)T Frame-Relay Queueing and Fragmentation at the interface
1. Is this feature only applicable to LLQ and not CBWFQ intuitively it sounds like it should support CBWFQ but the config guide says that PQ is a required condition?
I surmise that its due to the fact that now we wont have Dual FIFO output interface queuing and require some mechanism (LLQ) to take care of high priority packets?
2. What do they mean that Subrate shaping is supported?
I think it means that since this feature applies to ALL PVCs regarding queuing and fragmentation then the shaping configured is for ALL PVCs on the interface much like GTS. Would you agree?
IOS 12.2 (13)T MQC-Based Frame Relay Traffic shaping
If I understand this feature correctly:
Unlike traditional FRTS you can now enable FRTS on only specified PVCs and within this PVC,Shape a subset of traffic defined by the MQC feature set.
The above two feature differs in that:
1st feature above creates the queueing and at the OUTPUT interface but can create shaping queue (WFQ) for subrate (i.e. ALL PVCs) traffic and can ONLY be applied to the main interface.
The second feature creates separate shaping queues PER USER DEFINED PVC (i.e. where you apply the map-class) while the output queue will be WFQ or DUAL FIFO if PER PVC fragmentation is enabled
Thanks for the help on this LONG one!
