Dave,
There are two quick and easy ways to find the answer to your
question (besides posting here ;-). First look through the
documentation where the session-timeout command is documented and you
will also find the absolute-timeout command documented.
<DocCD>
Establishing Terminal Session Limits
You might need to control terminal sessions in high-traffic areas to
provide resources for all users. You can define the following
limitations for terminal sessions:
*The maximum number of sessions
*The idle session timeout interval or the absolute timeout interval
To establish terminal session limits, use the following commands in line
configuration mode:
Command Purpose
Step 1
Router(config-line)# session-limit session-number
Sets the maximum number of simultaneous sessions.1
Step 2
Router(config-line)# session-timeout minutes [output]
Sets the idle session timeout interval.
or
Router(config-line)# absolute-timeout minutes
Sets the absolute timeout interval.
Step 3
Router(config-line)# logout-warning [seconds]
Warns users of impending timeouts set with the absolute-timeout
command.
</DocCD>
The other method would be to perform a search of the DocCD.
"absolute timeout vty site:www.cisco.com/univercd/"
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=SNYI%2CSNYI%3A2005-09%2CSNYI%
3Aen&q=absolute+timeout+vty+site%3Awww.cisco.com%2Funivercd%2F&btnG=Sear
ch
The first hit in Google would give you the answer.

Wow....I would never guessed! I wish I had a better method to find
those
little esoteric commands (like this one). Thanks!

Subject: Session limit for line
Does anyone know of a command that limits (by absolute time) the session
on
any single line. Researching this, I know you limit the number of
sessions
(session-limit), the idle-time once you are in a session
(session-timeout),
and the time to wait for inputing characters before disconnecting
(exec-timeout). However, IS there a command to limit the time the
session
time limit (can't seem to find one).
