Hi Mohammed ,

It's upside down actually ...
If you permit range then everything else is denied
If you deny range then everything else is permited

Play with deb ip igmp filter on Cat a little bit and this clear things up
for you :)

Subject: IGMP profiles

Guys,

Just a simple question concerning configuring IGMP profiles on cat
3550....if I say

config# ipigmpprofile 1

config-igmp-profile# deny

config-igmp-profile# range 224.2.2.0 224.3.3.0

                int f0/5

                  ip igmp filter 1

Does that mean that only this range is denied or is there an implicit deny
for everything else??

Regards,
