Kayode,
When you session into one of your routers (via reverse telnet from the
terminal server), for the first time by:
#r1
This will create the session 1 on your terminal server, you can verify this
on the terminal by issueing the show line command on the terminal server.
#show line
If there is an asterisk (*) behind a particular line, it means that there is
still an active session on that line ie the session have not timeout out,
since the session is still active, you cannot regain access to the line by
re-issueing:
#r1
To regain access to the line simply type:
#1
And you will be in, otherwise you have to clear the active line session
before creating another one by using the usual (#r1).
By default the remote router will disconnect ur session after 10 minute of
inactivity, the local router (terminal server) will let your sessions run
for ever, except you tell it to do otherwise.
