This has been discussed on GS several times. I still don't think there's
one definitive answer to this question.
I think your safest bet is to understand the issues involved and ask the
proctor.
Also, I would check which, if any, of the devices used in the lab support a
hardware clock. (Off-hand, I don't know about the new equipment being used.)
If a hardware clock is supported by a device, that means the time set will
survive a reboot. If the device in question will retain the time set after
a reboot, then definitely set the clock.
If the device doesn't support a hardware clock, if you have any question at
all, then ask the proctor. You shouldn't have to set the clock in my opinion
but don't take any chances. Even 2 points can be the difference between
pass and fail.
