pix 500 or ASA 5500

Hi, dear all, what do I need to consider to select the pix 500 or ASA 5500 for a firewall? What we need is just a stateful firewall without VPN, but need to handle high volume of voice packet. ASA 5500 seems to have more functions and much cheaper. Please let me know if you have any thoughts about these products.
