Hi M,
I also had problems understanding these concepts, but after reading the
CiscoPress' "Cisco DQOS Exam Certification Guide" I understand all QOS
stuff, including Be, Bc etc. The way they explain the stuff cannot be
compared to the other sources I have found elsewhere. They go into
indepth discussions/examples which also help a lot.
Cheers
JC

Subject: Bc, Be - doubts
Dear All,
I am not able to understand the concept behind Bc,Be ,CIR,mincir etc.
When i read cisco pages, theoretically iam able to understand what they
are,but practically in commands, i cant understand.
For example, in this command taken from some cisco site, rate-limit
input access-group 102 10000000 1875000 3750000 CIR - traffic is what we
purchase from service provoider. So from this command,it is 10000000.This
is clear. The doubt i have is how we decide the Bc and Be values, which
is 1875000 and 3750000.
If anyone can give some links which explain Bc,Be well, then it would be
much helpful.
Regards
Mohamed.
