Shun,
When wouldn't the route-source and the next hop be the same?
I'm thinking when using ospf because with ospf the route-source is the
router-id.
But, otherwise, if using any other protocol, the route-source and next-hop
would be the same.
Do you agree?
Tim

No.. It is not that both the commands will match the source of the updates.
Match IP route-source
Use the match ip route-source command to create an entry in a route map to
test routes based on whether the route has been advertised by specific
routers at the addresses specified in ACL.
Match IP next hop:
Use the match ip next-hop command to create an entry in a route map to test
routes based on a next-hop router address specified in the access lists.
Both the Matching is applied in route-maps that affect outbound routes
only.Useful for redistribution purposes some times

Guys,
Both commands match on the source of updates, so what's the difference?
And if you could plz clarify with an example.
