Dear all,
I have a problem with the wired EIGRP setting. We have a router running Eigrp. But it has no eigrp neighbor. We are trying to remove eigrp settings. It has a serial port (10.2.32.1) and a fastethernet port (10.0.1.252). They're both OSPF and Eigrp interface. (pls. see the sigple diagram). The eigrp generates a static route 10.0.0.0/8 pointing to Null0. The router also has a default route pointing to a virtual ip 10.0.1.1, 10.0.1.254 is the active VRRP router.
When I removed the EIGRP settings, I could not ping the serial ip of remote end. I tracerouted the it and found the packet was bouncing between 10.0.1.254 and 10.0.1.252.
I tried to add a static route 10.0.0.0/8 pointing to Null0. It doesn't solve the problem. I showed the ip route for the route of 10.2.32.0, it says direct connected. Why it send the packet back to 10.0.1.254? When i put the eigrp back, it's working normally. It's really wired.
Do you have any suggestions about this? Thanks.
