It means if you call the server you will ONLY get connected if you (the caller) have callback configured
its easier if you see the configs ..
so config A and B will work
config C will NOT
---------------------------------------
Config A - no callback will take place
---------------------------------------
Client
no ppp callback request (default command)
server
ppp callback accept
dialer map ip 1.2.3.4 name JoeBloggs class callback broadcast 1234656
map-class dialer callback
dialer callback-server username
---------------------------------------
Config B - callback will take place
---------------------------------------
Client
ppp callback request
server
ppp callback accept
ppp callback secure
dialer map ip 1.2.3.4 name JoeBloggs class callback broadcast 1234656
map-class dialer callback
dialer callback-server username
---------------------------------------
Config C - will not work !
---------------------------------------
Client
no ppp callback request (default command)
server
ppp callback accept
ppp callback secure
dialer map ip 1.2.3.4 name JoeBloggs class callback broadcast 1234656
map-class dialer callback
dialer callback-server username
---------------------------------------
If I was a proctor and wanted you to use callback secure I would say
configure callback, ensure the client router recieves a callback, ensure all future routers connected will only connect to the server if they are configured with callback
Get the gist ?
To be honest, with callback you really need to remember to put in your map-class, well that was the mistake I used to make !

Subject: ppp callback secure command.
Could you please explain why this command is used. Especially int the ccie
labs if it is not told to configure the security.
Please explain the purpose of using this command.
Thanks,
