With RSPAN, the ASICs for the reflector port are used to copy the traffic to
the RSPAN VLAN. Ideally, this would be an unused port, as that port would
not be able to pass normal traffic.

Subject: IEWB Lab10 V2 Task 1.6 [bcc][faked-from]
Importance: Low

Hello,

In the supplied configs for InternetworkExpert's Volume 2 Lab 10 - on task
1.6
for RSPAN. The supplied configs for Switch 2 show that the reflector port
is
Gi0/1.

I can't understand why this interface is used - it doesn't look like this
interface is part of the topology. One person in their forum supposed that
it
was a typo but there are no other comments. I was wondering if anyone else
had a reason why.

Appreciate any feedback,
Sean
