I think that is a personal choice. You have to take into concideration
that if they remove something, they are going to add into something
else.
So, we see them removing
Atm (3-6 points)
ISDN (6-9 points)
DLSW (0-6 points)
ISIS (0-6 points)
In a worst case senario, you would have 27 points distibuted amongst the
rest of the field, IGP, BGP, IPv6, Security, QoS, other SRT's (stupid
router tricks). How weak are you in the fields leaving us and how
strong are you in everything else.
Now, saying that, How well are you vised in all of the 12.2T AND 12.3
code additions? Again "SRT's"!
Have you done configs on the 3800's? I have to say, I was sort of
expecting them to say that the 3550's are out and the 3750's are in...(
better know them just in case they drop another shoe on us).
Choice on this has to be personal. Without taking the test yet, you are
really out there without the knowledge of knowing what the lab is truly
like. Remember, you can always book the Jan 1st now and drop it later
if you pass your first time through (30 day window to drop).
Good Luck on which ever choice you make.

Subject: Need an advice
Hi guys,
My CCIE R/S lab is scheduled on 22nd of November 2005, I want to pass
the LAB in my first attempt, while I don't think that until 22nd of
November I would be fully prepared for the battle but I am 100% sure
that I will be fully prepared for the next available date which is 1st
of January 2006 in Dubai UAE, this date is available right now but I am
not sure it will be available tomorrow, but the problem is Cisco has
announced new changes will take place from the January 1st, 2006.
I have spent lots of money and time for the current contents of Lab but
on the other hand I don't wana be surprised and shocked at the time of
having Lab.
I am not sure that Cisco is gona change the whole lab exactly from the
1st of January 2006, so can I take a chance???
I need an advice from you guys about dropping my current scheduled lab
22nd of November 2005 and reschedule it on 1st of January 2006, Should I
do it or not??
I will appreciate the suggestions
