Hi
I got some problem with command <spanning-tree etherchannel guard
misconfig>: configuring new etherchannels I got physical interfaces
shutted down by:
%PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: channel-misconfig error detected on Po1, putting
Gi2/0/2 in err-disable state
After a little investigation I found that problem raised because remote
Etherchannel peer was announcing via dot1q few VLANs more than other
side switch; corrected VLAN consistency between two switch problem seems
solved.
I can understand that it should be a correct behavior about
<spanning-tree etherchannel guard misconfig> but in my opion number of
VLAN mismatch (I mean forgetting about prune them) between two switch is
a soft sin ...
Now, documentation from Cisco is not very deep about "EtherChannel
Guard"; my fear is to get some other problem having <spanning-tree
etherchannel guard misconfig> active.
Nobody has got same kind of problems? Or where I can find deep
documentation about all what means "misconfig" for "EtherChannel Guard"?
Thank you very much
Stefano
