The *ip pim [vrf vrf-name] accept-rp {rp-address | auto-rp}
[access-list]* command seems to be more applicable to routers in a
network using multiple auto-rp's announcing different groups i.e.
Perhaps one RP is announcing the a.b.c.d group, and another RP is
announcing the 1.2.3.4 group. In this scenerio you may have a leaf
router that doesn't have any need to join the 1.2.3.4 group, and thus
shouldn't waste time or router resources having to process Join or Prune
messages.

Subject: IP PIM Question
Hi Group,
Thank you group. I received some very useful answer on my last "what's
the diff" question, here is another question I have. Can someone tell me
what is the different between
1. *ip pim rp-address** *rp-address [access-list] 2. *ip pim
**accept-rp* *rp-address* [*access-list*]
Thanks in advance.
Ed
