ISIS uses a CLNS multicast to actually reach its neighbors. So yes, on NBMA
networks the 'broadcast' parameter is needed for general operation.

Hi Stefan,

Once I was testing IS-IS over ATM. It did not worked until I specify the
word broadcast.
