Wireless is on the written as product type questions. I just did my recert
a couple months ago and was very disppointed in the "important" things they
asked about.
Interesting list of things to be removed. I figured that DLSW was on the
way out, along with IS-IS... But ISDN and ATM surprised me a bit, although
their use in Enterprise networks is on the decline with broadband usage.
Along those lines, PPPoE would still be a valid set of thinking, but a bit
more difficult to standardize and test on I guess.
Now on the other hand, if that's the thought process for picking good or bad
topics, one has to question to reality of enterprises with Mobile IP and
IPv6 these days! (grin) Though our asian constituency has a lot more to do
in dealing with that! Those of us in the US have a reprieve until 2008 or
so. (Not on the test, speaking of realistic deployments per Federal
government guidelines) :)
As for the void this creates, I would think about looking to much more
robust OSPF deployments, or BGP networks, or IPv6-related topics coming up!
Just my opinion, no more, no less.
Scott

Cisco wireless has changed so drastically with the acquisition of Airespace,
who knows where that is going.
Anybody know of a good cheap place to get AP's, controllers, and WCS? :)

Hi,
Wireless? They included that into the written early this year so my guess is
that.
No idea why they removed ISDN. Any clue?
Thanks.

Hi,
Wonder what will replace "DLSW, IS-IS, ISDN, PPP over Ethernet, and ATM" ?
Thanks for the info anyway,
Ed Lui
