I think the average is three. Don't lose heart, you will surely make
it. I guess one main thing required to pass Cisco exam is that your
stars have to be aligned correctly. You need lot of luck and I hope
you do, and finish the exam in your 3rd attempt.

P.S : It would be breaking your NDA if you discuss about your exam. I
do understand your frustration. I guess there could be several reasons
why you might have lost out on BGP. It doesn't make sense to me when
you say " you had it working like a brand new BMW car. A Renault or a
Ferrari car is definately better ". Probably you didn't get the "Cisco
answer".
