Poor Man's Inline Power Patch Panel

Folks,

Does anybody know how to build an Inline Power Patch Panel similar to the
Cisco WS-PWR-PANEL. I am interested in the pin layout diagram.

I know that 48 VDC is applied to the unused pairs 7, 8 and pairs 4,5 but I
am not sure of the polarity. Does anyone know if it is just a matter of
applying 48VDC onto these pairs. Will this 'Franken IPPP" work with Cisco
7960 and 7940 IP phones.

I am planning to simply connect 48 VDC onto the pairs and punch them onto a
RJ45 patch panel. Plug the power supply and 48VDC should flow and power the
IP Phones.

It would be great is I could make use of my 48V DC power supplies that are
laying around.
